Carson of Venus

Since Michael over at http://thejohncarterfiles.com/ is musing about a Carson of Venus movie and I have ties that previous attempt – here’s something new ( and like my previous post, not altogether finished ) but I felt it needed to be seen. As you can imagine, I think a Pirates of Venus movie is a great idea. – Jeff

What can I say about the Fuzzy Ears that won’t get me in trouble ?

Waiting for my Empress of Mercury print.

So I’m sitting  here waiting for my test print of  Empress of Mercury to arrive. I consider it done, but printing something often tells you otherwise. The plan is to make two sizes of ( 20 x30″ ish and a 10 x 15″ ) prints available for sale.  I also have two other designs in in the wings and in the same genre of” Sword and Planet Movies that were Never made in the 70′s because Technically it Couldn’t be Done at the Time. ”    I love movies and I love the production art and the posters, so this seems a natural for me. And I don’t need a multimillion dollar grant to see my vision through to completion. – Jeff. Still waiting.

After an almost three year hall I’ve wrapped up my Strange Worlds Anthology book . A little lost I’ve turned to a project I’d back-burnered, fake SF movie posters. Most specifically Sword and Planet movies which of course were never made. I’m going with a 70′s aesthetic for what I think will be be three poster. Below is a colour study and text work layout for the first one. Then there there is the real thing in process in the studio. – Jeff
